EBHS student-athlete Leslie Aquino sign letter of intent for UC Merced

Leslie Aquino signed a letter of intent, committing to Run Cross Country and Track next year at NAIA UC Merced, Ca.  Leslie was a three-year 1st team all-league runner in Cross Country and a four-year runner in track as well as SYML MVP this year. 

In her sophomore year she was 3rd place in the SEYL in Cross Country, first team all-league and placed fourteenth in the CIF Central Section D3 Championships. In Track she was Undefeated in the 400 meters, 3rd Place in 1600 Meters and 3200 Meters in League, 5th place CIF-CS Div 2 - 1600 Meters, 4th Place CIF-CS Div 2 - 3200 Meters.

 In her junior year Leslie was League Champion in Cross Country - Undefeated in League, 1st Team All-League, 6th Place CIF CS Div 3, 57th Place CIF Div 3 State. In Track and Field Undefeated in League individual events - 800 Meters, 1600 Meters, and 3200 Meters, 10th Place CIF-CS Div 2 - 3200 Meters, 11th Place CIF-CS Div 2 - 1600 Meters.

In her senior year, Leslie was League Champion in Cross Country - Undefeated in League, 1st Team All-League, 23rd Place CIF CS Div 3.  In Track and Field Undefeated in League individual events - 800 Meters, 1600 Meters, and 3200 Meters. Leslie also competed in the CIF-CS D2 championships, and she was 12th Place CIF-CS Div 2 - 3200 Meters, 11th Place CIF-CS Div 2 - 1600 Meters, 8the place in the CIF-CS Div 2 – 800 Meters. She was a finalist for the prestigious Tyack awards and is currently #1 in the graduating class with a 4.5 GPA.
