Incoming Freshmen Only (Current 8th graders)
The Kern High School District is thrilled to announce Open Enrollment for the 2021/2022 school year. The Open Enrollment application period will take place on the following days and times:
KERN HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT OFFICE
5801 SUNDALE AVENUE, SCHOOL SUPPORT SERVICES OFFICE
January 20, 2021 · 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
January 21, 2021 · 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
January 22, 2021 · 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Open Enrollment is the opportunity for parents or guardians to apply for admission to a high school other than the one serving their student based on residential address. Parents or guardians of students entering the 9th grade in 2021/2022 who would like to apply for open enrollment can apply in one of the two methods below:
• Online at www.kernhigh.org or
• By visiting us at the Kern High School District office*
*Both options are only available on the dates and times listed above
Open Enrollment applications are processed randomly. There is no advantage in arriving prior to the scheduled times. Parents or guardians do not need to take part in Open Enrollment if they would like their student to attend the school serving their regular attendance area.
RETURNING STUDENTS ONLY (current 9th-11th graders):
The Open Enrollment application period for returning students will take place March 8, 2021 through April 2, 2021. Applications will be available at all school sites.
